HEALTH SCREENING
COVID-19 has a wide range of symptoms including: fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, chills, headache, recent loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. All families, faculty and staff will be required to complete a daily screening at home on our new Visitu app. This assessment is designed to identify potential illness. If an individual answers “yes” to any question, they must stay home and contact their primary care physician. Screening includes whether anyone in home is exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or have been in close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19. If screening has not been completed, an employee or student may not enter campus. Contact-less, infrared thermometers will be used, when temperatures are taken at school; while wearing the appropriate PPE: face mask, face shield, and disposable gloves. Students or employees with any identified COVID-19 symptoms and/or a temperature of at least 100.4°F or higher will be isolated and sent home immediately until testing and/or medical evaluation has been conducted. Families and visitors will be required to have an appointment prior to coming on campus and will have a temperature check upon entry.
FACE MASKS
- Wash hands before putting on face covering.
- Cover nose and mouth and secure it under chin. It should fit snuggly against side of face.
- Make sure one can breathe easily.
- Masks may not be removed in the classroom setting for any reason. Any student needing to remove their mask for any reason must first exit the classroom.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES/SCHOOL EVENTS
- There will be no on-campus gatherings or events where physical distancing cannot be maintained. For this reason, we are planning alternate or online versions of many of our calendar events. Club meetings will continue to be conducted via Zoom for the time being.
- Conditioning and practice for the Fall sports has been underway.
Dates for the Fall sports competitive seasons will be released and updated through the athletic section of the website. Head coaches will communicate to team members all updates and important announcements. We will continue to follow state and county protocols and regulations, which are subject to change.
DROP-OFF / PICK-UP PROCEDURES
PICK-UP: Students who remain on campus after school ends will need to either attend their scheduled tutoring or be in designated / supervised waiting areas. All students must be picked up by 3:00 p.m. unless they have a supervised practice or activity that extends beyond this time.
HEALTH OFFICE PROTOCOLS
- If students, faculty, or staff become sick during the school day, they must immediately go to the Main Office. Anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19 will then be placed in the isolation room until they are picked up and must contact their primary care physician for guidance on how to proceed, and whether to have a COVID-19 test administered.
- Students displaying one or more COVID-19 symptoms will be required to isolate at home and notify the Front Office of their primary care provider’s plan of treatment.
- Students with a negative test result may return to school with a note from their primary care provider classifying their illness as being unrelated to COVID-19. Students must also be fever free for 24 hours without aid of fever-reducing medication.
- Students with a positive COVID-19 test result may not return to campus until at least 10 days have passed since their symptoms first appeared, their symptoms have improved, and they have been fever free for 24 hours without the aid of fever-reducing medication.
- Students and their parents will be notified of potential exposure to classmates or teachers who have tested positive, or are presumed positive, for COVID-19. The primary emergency contacts listed in Aeries will be notified via email and voice message.
- Students, faculty, and staff who have been in close contact with someone who is presumed COVID positive must take a COVID-19 test, whether or not they have symptoms, and inform the school of test results. Students are required to self-quarantine for 10 days after their last contact with the person who has or is likely to have COVID-19. Students may end their quarantine after Day 10 if they did not develop any symptoms of COVID-19.
