In honor of Valentine's Day, students have been granted an alternative dress day on Friday, February 13th. In the spirit of the day, students are asked to wear red, pink or purple. Please adhere to the Alternative Dress Code.

Last night your Freshman and Varsity Boys Basketball teams defeated Notre Dame. They played the best defensive game of the year holding Notre Dame to 15 points in the second half and going on to win 48-42. Way to go Warriors!

We are encouraging seniors to apply for financial aid before March 2nd. Every student who plans on continuing their education after high school should fill out an application. There is money available to students who are attending 4-year colleges, community colleges, and vocational schools.

The players and coaches of our award winning Academic Decathlon Team have been preparing rigorously for the upcoming competition, and hope to score another victory and move on to the State Finals in March. The public is invited to come and watch the SuperQuiz event this Saturday, February 7th in our Alumni Hall...Good Luck ACA/DECA Warriors!

Congratulations to our Alemany Wrestling Team for sweeping the Mission League and successfully defending their 2008 Mission League title.

Academic Decathlon Regional Event is being held on Saturday February 7th. Alemany is going for its 13th win. This year Alemany is proud to host 27 teams from all over Southern California. We need your help – if you still need Service Hours and would like to earn your 15 hours in one day – please contact JoAnn Schnelldorfer in the Alumni Office at 818-837-5229 or email her at: [email protected]. This is a fun and rewarding day to use up your service hours.

WED Feb. 4, 7pm, Alumni Hall.
We will be having administrators there for updates, concerns and open forum for parents to ask questions.
1 Parent Service hour per family will be given for attending.

We hope to respond to the needs of Casa Esperanza regarding their (empty) food pantry. However, the hope is that we will “Celebrate” this service opportunity by giving what the people really need and want, just as if we were giving to a person we loved the most and who was hungry. What if it was my grandma who was hungry? What if it was my baby nephew? Would I offer that old dusty can of creamed turnips? Or would I ask them what they would like and give them the best I could? This is the service that gives joy! This is the service we celebrate!

The Alemany Golf Tournament committee has an opening for Treasurer. We need someone with accounting experience to assist us in keeping our financial and registration records. We need records of expenses and receivables including names and addresses. You will receive service hours for your time.

The Alemany Players and the Drama Booster Club are planning the first Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre to be held in Alumni Hall. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to technical equipment for the Lowell Thomas Theatre.
