In his letter, declaring September 1 as a World Day of Prayer for Care of Creation, Pope Francis wrote “We wish to contribute to resolving the ecological crisis which humanity is presently experiencing. In doing so, we must first rediscover in our own rich spiritual patrimony the deepest motivations for our concern for the care of creation. […] The annual World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation offers to individual believers and to the community a precious opportunity to renew our personal participation in this vocation as custodians of creation.”
We join with Pope Francis in not only celebrating the gift of creation, but also inviting all Bishop Alemany families to thank God for the amazing world, universe in which we live, love and grow and to take on our proper roles as stewards of this gift.
