The Mock Trial team ROCKED it on Monday night!

Congratulations to Alemany's prosecution team consisting of Daniel Patterson, Erica Cruz, Sophia Jenrich, Chris Barlog, Nick Barrile, Matt Riek, Patrick Ayala, Zaira Pasco, and Matt Sooter for their outstanding performance at the Los Angeles County Mock Trial Competition.

The competition was held at the Los Angeles Superior Courthouse on November 2 from 5:00-8:00 p.m..  Students competed in front of judges and lawyers who complimented them on a job well done.  One scoring attorney sought team-members out after the competition to tell them how impressed he was with them, citing their poise, professionalism, preparedness, and conduct during trial.

The prosecution team did a great job objecting to Arcadia High School's defense team while  poking holes in their case.

While court was in session, courtroom artists Sarah Stewart and Lissette Lopez worked diligently on depicting accurate  courtroom scenes.  The art was so impressive that the presiding judge asked Lissette if he could keep her artist's rendition of him.  Meanwhile, courtroom journalist, Jen Palafox attentively documented the facts of the trial for an article she will submit for the journalist's competition scheduled November 10, 2009.  Courtroom Observer and Team Co-Manager, Christian Acosta was instrumental in making sure the courtroom was back in order after the competition.

Next week Alemany's defense team will present their side... stay tuned for more exciting news!

We are so proud of you Legal Warriors!  You rock!
