Sunday Blast February 8, 2026

Dear Bishop Alemany Families,

As we continue planning for next year, we are excited to share that, with the move to a 7-period schedule, we will offer 15 new or returning courses for our students. Some of these classes are new to Alemany, while others are returning after not being offered for a period. Each of them expands opportunities for our students and reflects the thoughtful input and recommendations of our department chairs. An additional area of growth we are excited about is expanding our Dual Enrollment program. This semester, we began offering dual enrollment opportunities with Seton Hill and ASU. Building on this, and in partnership with ADLA, we will expand our ASU dual-enrollment offerings next year to include approximately 11 courses outside the traditional high school curriculum, such as Introduction to Project Management and Introduction to Organizational Leadership.
You can see a flyer highlighting these new and returning courses here.
Counselors will begin meeting 1:1 with students in February to plan their courses for next year. Students will bring home a tentative schedule to parent/guardians after the meeting. We encourage you to discuss your student's course selections with them.

Tomorrow, Monday, February 9, students will be dismissed early, and school will follow a Friday (grey) Bell Schedule. The school day will start as normal and end at 1:35 p.m. All school offices will close at 1:40 p.m. for a Faculty and Staff meeting.

Tuesday, February 10, the Counseling Office will join BAPA to present practical strategies for supporting students in managing academic and extracurricular activities in a healthy, balanced way. The Bishop Alemany Parent Association social hour starts at 6:30, and the official meeting begins at 7:00 p.m.

This Wednesday, February 11, Junior families are invited to attend Junior Guidance Night at 6:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall. The Counseling team will share valuable information to help you navigate and prepare for the college application process.

Friday, February 13, join BAPA at 6:30 p.m. for their annual Paint N’ Sip.  Tickets are available using this link for $40 per person.

Cell Phone/Electronic Reminder:

Another friendly reminder regarding our school cell phone/electronic policy. We believe the best learning experience happens when students are fully present and engaged. • 1st Violation: Teacher will contact the parent/guardian.
  • 2nd Violation: Referral to the Deans.
  • 3rd Violation: School Beautification/Detention
  • 4th Violation: Student must check in their phone at the Main Office and may pick it up at the end of the school day.
